LICENSES & PERMITS

HOME > ABOUT OUR MINE > LICENSES & PERMITS

On November 19, 2018, IMP received the final critical license that is required before mining and sales can begin.  Called the IPPKH (Izin Pinjam Pakai Kawasan Hutan), meaning "Permit to Borrow and Use [land] in a Forestry Area".  This license protects the trees currently growing in the concession and ensures proper planning for restoring the land as required by Indonesian law.  To acquire this license, all current licenses and previous licenses and permits have been submitted by IMP to BKPM (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal, meaning The  Capital Investment Coordinating Board), including the documents sighted in the first paragraph above, the Governor of Central Kalimantan's recommendation for the IPPKH, the PERTEK (which is a technical mine plan), a current mining plan to determine the fee for use of the land, and various other licenses and permits required to begin mining.

Due to Covid, IMP was shut down until its mining llicense (IUPOP) and environmental license (IPPKH) can be renewed.  We project this will occur by July 2024.
